Growing up, my parents didn’t wear costumes for Halloween. It was the 60’s, and things were different then. My parents stayed home and gave out candy to the trick-or-treaters.
We just celebrated Father’s Day last weekend, and I read a quote that said “The problem, Fathers. The solution, Fathers.” Reading this after the horrific tragedy in Uvalde, TX, this quote struck me in a couple of ways.

My husband, Rob, and I just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. In the past, I often heard people say their secret to a successful marriage was they “laughed together” or “never stopped dating each other” or “never let the sun go down on their anger”.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. I’ll never forget the day my mental health gave out. It was the middle of the day and I had just finished running a group. As the group ended I was talking with my friend and mentor when suddenly a wave of nausea come over me.

Ah, I’m so grateful the days are lengthening with sunshine, and we’ve enjoyed some recent rain. Especially at this time of year, my yard calls me to linger where the birth of spring is evident.
It’s Saturday night in the Cameron household and we are 20 minutes from leaving the house for the evening. My wife, Amy, and I have plans to pick up our friends and carpool to a Toby Mac concert, while my kids have plans to go to a high school dance.
