Catherine is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist living out her calling to help others heal that they might live fully and with joy. She earned her Master of Education degree from UCLA and taught high school before her own life-transforming journey in Christian therapy. Desiring to bring the same relief to others, Catherine earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at Vanguard University. She is certified in EMDR Therapy, currently the foremost treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and also effective for many other reasons people suffer, including low self esteem, anxiety, depression, and relational difficulties. Marital Therapy is her specialty, utilizing her knowledge of attachment research.
For nearly three decades, Catherine has been active in the Christian Community in Mission Viejo, where she lives with her husband of 30 years. Together they have raised two autistic spectrum children now in their twenties. With this personal background, Catherine has extensive knowledge of developmental disorders, psychotropic medications, social skills training, and the extraordinary parenting issues that occur with raising special needs children. It is her passion to work with couples and families, fostering new levels of trust and bringing pleasure and satisfaction back into relationships. She finds her work as a therapist and a supervisor at Relationship 180 to be an exceptional privilege.
Ah, I’m so grateful the days are lengthening with sunshine, and we’ve enjoyed some recent rain. Especially at this time of year, my yard calls me to linger where the birth of spring is evident.
